Feeling stuck, or just not quite like yourself lately?

It doesn’t have to stay that way. I'm Jen, and I work with people who want to feel like themselves again and start moving forwards in a gentle, practical kind of therapy that looks ahead rather than back.

Small shifts in thinking, big changes in what’s possible.

A few of the things I help with

A line drawing of a brain with random, tangled lines representing complex thoughts or ideas.

Easing anxiety and overwhelm

Performing at your best

Sleeping better

Icon of a broken chain link with lines indicating breaking or disconnecting.

Breaking unhelpful habits

Building confidence

Finding a clearer way forward

Why Mind&Burt Therapies

Life has a way of knocking us off course. Maybe anxiety has crept in, or your confidence isn't quite what it was. Maybe you're just going through the motions, sensing that something needs to change but not knowing where to start.

That's where I come in.

I help people feel calmer and more themselves again, with a clearer sense of where they actually want to be. You won't be asked to rake over the past or work out where it all went wrong. We start from where you are now, look at where you'd like to get to, and take small, manageable steps in that direction.

A big part of what I do is show you how the brain actually works - the neuroscience behind why you feel the way you do - and use proven techniques, including CBT and NLP, to help you change it. Once you understand what's going on under the surface, change becomes much easier to make. People often tell me they noticed a small shift sooner than they expected.

Every session is unhurried and built around you.

How I work

A woman with shoulder-length blonde hair wearing a yellow patterned blouse sitting at a wooden table, writing in a notebook. Another woman with curly brown hair wearing a blue top sits across from her. There is a window with a view of greenery and a plant beside the window. A framed picture of a black cat with yellow flowers hangs on the wall behind the first woman.

People come to me at all sorts of points in life. Maybe you're:

  • Living with anxiety, worry, or a constant sense of overwhelm

  • Struggling to sleep, or unable to switch your mind off

  • Low on confidence, or held back by self-doubt

  • In the middle of a big life change and looking for steadier ground

  • Ready to break a habit, like smoking, for good

  • Dealing with a phobia that's getting in the way.

Whatever's brought you here, you're in the right place. Sessions are online across the UK at the moment, with in-person sessions in Cheltenham coming soon.

About Jen

A woman with blonde hair, wearing a yellow blouse and blue jeans, sitting outdoors on a chair with plants in the background, smiling at the camera.

Hello, I'm Jen, a solution focused therapist, which means I use a blend of psychotherapy and hypnotherapy to help people move forward.

Before this, I spent over 25 years in the fast paced world of corporate marketing. There was plenty of pressure, and plenty of supporting people through change. I came to therapy a little later in life, and I’m glad I did, it’s the most meaningful work I’ve ever done.

I know first-hand that change is possible, and I love helping people find that out for themselves.

I trained with CPHT (Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training) and work to the standards set by the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH) and Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH). So you get a genuinely supportive space, but a properly professional one too.

What my clients say

Getting started

Taking the first step often feels like the hardest part. It really needn’t be.

It usually starts with a quick conversation. From there, we find the right way forward together, and at a pace that suits you. Most people come through three simple stages:

  1. A free 15-minute chat - relaxed, no commitment, just a chance to say hello.

  2. Your initial consultation - a full session to talk through what you’d like to change.

  3. Your sessions - steady, meaningful progress, one step at a time.

The easiest place to begin is to book that free chat. Or if you'd rather, send me a few details and I'll be in touch.
